Whether you are looking to buy an inflatable slide or rent an inflatable slide, there are many different configurations and styles. Like all inflatables, define who your end user will be before you start shopping for a slide for sale or rent.
Here are several types of inflatable slides:
Commercial Inflatable Slide
- Commercial Dry Inflatable Slide is made from commercial grade PVC. They are intended to be used dry only and work both indoors or outdoors.
- Commercial Inflatable Water Slide is intended to be used with water. These inflatable slides come with some sort of misting system that soaks the slide surface. Only for outdoor use, this type of inflatable is ideal for hot summer days.
- Commercial Dry Wet Inflatable Slide can be used either with the misting system or without. This is the most versatile of the commercial inflatable slides
- Commercial Bounce House with Slide can be called bouncer slide combos. Like the name suggests, this inflatable combines a bounce house with an inflatable slide. Because the design focuses on the bounce house there are limitations on the size of these slides
- Residential Inflatable Slide
- Residential Inflatable Water Slide is designed for kids under 100 lbs. These inflatable slides typically cater to kids under the age of 12 years old. A misting system must be used for these to function properly.
- Kids Bounce House with Slide pairs a bounce house with an inflatable slide. Because home bounce houses tend to be smaller then the commercial versions, these inflatable slides are most popular with younger kids.
Selecting An Inflatable Slide
If you decide to rent an inflatable slide, make sure you do so from a reputable inflatable rental company. Because of the enormous size that most of the slides for rent are, we recommend finding a rental company that will deliver, set up and pick up the inflatable for you. Negotiate any fees with the company prior to agreeing to renting.
If you are a rental company looking to ad a slide to your portfolio of inflatables, analyze your marketplace prior to making a decision. What does this mean? If you are in Maine will it be more beneficial getting a water slide or a dry inflatable slide? The inflatable business is not rocket science. By understanding your market and competition you will make the right purchases to grow your business.
If you are looking for a kids bounce house with a slide, make sure that the residential unit is suitable for the kids you are buying it for. Often parents will buy bounce houses with slides for kids and the kids are to big for the unit.

Inflatable Slide Maintenance
If your purchased a water slide, the single most important maintenance you need to be aware of is NOT STORING THE INFLATABLE WET. This alone can ruin any slide. Mold will begin to grow from the inside out and could cause unrepairable damage. How do you prevent this. Simply fully dry all inflatables prior to storing. If this is not possible immediately following use, make sure at the first opportunity to fully inflate the slide until dry. The continuous airflow that is required to keep the unit inflated will dry the unit from the inside out. Shop for an
