Technology Advancements Have Made Bounce Houses With Inflatable Slides Possible

With any inflatable product, the weakest or most vulnerable point is where two or more pieces meet to form a seam. In our opinion, this is where the manufacturing process either makes it our fails. Here is why. We will use commercial inflatables as our example. Two separate manufacture of a commercial bounce house can both use 18 ounce vinyl, yet one can provide a two year warranty and feel comfortable and the other can can offer a one year warranty and feel uncomfortable. The material is the same, the difference in bounce house quality are the seams. There are many different techniques and terminology being thrown around in the industry. Manufactures will say the double stitch an inflatable, but make no mistake, there are different ways to double stitch. Double stitch can refer to the thread itself. Most leading manufactures take the seam process further by added a vinyl material to the top and bottom of the seam and then apply the double stitch technique. In this case, the manufacture has actually created a stronger area at the seam then the rest of the material.

Residential Bouncer Slide
Bouncers with slides for residential use are designed for kids under 100 lbs. The design and size of the bounce house with slide will determine the capacity of the inflatable. These residential units are intended for kids 3-12 years old. Feedback from parents indicate that residential bouncer slide combos are suited for younger kids, typically under 8 years old. The biggest reason younger kids enjoy these units more then older kids is because of the size of the inflatable slides. In order for a slide to function, there needs to be some level of height associated with it to work. Because there are more limitations on residential models then commercial models, the slides are more suited for younger kids.

Commercial Bouncer Slide
With the strength of commercial bouncer slides, there are less limitation with regards to designs. You will find a variety of styles when it comes to commercial versions. Some will have the inflatable slide inside the actual bounce house, while some will have the climbing wall and slide on the out side of the bounce house. One is not better then the other. It is personal preference. There are two different theories on having the slide on the inside or outside. Those that prefer the slide on the outside tend to believe that it provides a safer ride for the user. On the other hand, those who prefer the inflatable slide on the outside of the bouncer believe that the flow of riders on the bouncer will be improved.
